New Beginnings

To the East, New Beginnings.

Rising Sun, we see how you bring the new day.

We are grateful for your life-giving beauty and warmth.

The birds sing their songs as you fill the sky,

this new day, with nothing in it but that which is given us,

and that which we choose.

 

We rise with you, and the morning breeze has secrets to tell,

so we do not go back to sleep. You bring the light so we may see,

all the wonder this beautiful Mother Earth has to share.

As we begin to look and see with new eyes,

and the deeper ears of our soul begin to hear the whispers,

something deep within stirs, seeking to emerge, and I begin to care.

 

For this is a new day, a new way, never before has this day been.

We are given the choice, we can struggle, or we can thrive.

Let us choose to see the beauty all around us,

let us look upon our brothers and sisters with love and gratitude.
                                                                                          
                                                       Let us see the gifts we are given,

And let us bless this day the way it blesses us.

 

Thank You for this day, this new day.
